A bubble bath/body wash combo always is a risky choice. If something is meant to be used to wash your body I have trouble seeing how it could double as something to help you relax as you soak in it. That was why I was skeptical when trying Sheamoisture Superfruit body wash. Unfortunately, my skepticism was warranted, and I did not enjoy the feeling I was left with getting out of the tub.
Shea moisture is not a brand I was familiar with before trying this body wash/bubble bath combo. Putting the bubble bath in the tub was fine. It didn’t smell awful and was not too overwhelming. The bubbles were a pleasant addition to the bath atmosphere. In fact, they actually provided a nice layer of extra moisture while in the tub.
Unfortunately, even though I found some enjoyment while in the tub, it did not leave me feeling terribly clean upon finishing my bath. Everyone knows that amazing just out of the shower, squeaky clean feeling. That was not the case with this body wash/bubble bath. I did not have that amazing feeling after using shea moisture Superfruit body wash. I by no means felt as though I was still caked in dirt and sweat, but I definitely did not feel that I was perfectly clean, either. I was left disappointed and wishing that I had used my everyday body wash.
On top of not feeling as clean as I had wanted, I also felt like I smelled as if I just had walked out of a candy store. The smell was simply too sweet. On the bottle they claim to have used mango butter and Green coffee bean extract, but based on the smell in my bathroom, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a spoonful of sugar in every ounce.
In my ever so humble opinion, Sheamoisture Superfruit body wash is not worth the money saved to combine the body wash and bubble bath in one product; Splurge and buy one of each. it is well worth the money. Not only will you feel cleaner, but you will also have two delightful scents that compliment each other instead of just one extremely sweet mango send lingering on your skin.
